Three satyagrahis were arrested and detained by police after one of the satyagrahi Shri SUNIL PRABHAKAR set for satyagraha inside a 35 ft. deep well near the satyagraha sthala.
Satyagrahi Shri Sunil Prabhakar told the journalists that he was left with no option as govt has already started barricading the whole satyagraha sthala with 6ft. high concrete wall.he said that yamuna is source of life and construction of commonwealth village on yamuna flood plain is causing a serious threat to the existence of the river.
police intervened and forcibly took him out of the well and detained him along with two other satyagrahis Kapil Mishra and Dr. Vinod Kumar Mishra in the pandav nagar police station for for then 6 hours though satyagrahis were never told why they are being detained by police for such a long time.
all the satyagrahis were raising slogans while police was trying to bring him out from the well.
with this incident govt should realise that yamuna is not just flowing water but people are emotionally and spiritually attached with yamuna and its just not going to be easy to ignore the mass aspirations and going ahead with the construction process.
